Legislative Update
On March 30th the Connecticut House of Representatives voted 60 to 89 on HB 6012. If it had passed this bill would have abolished the Death Penalty in Connecticut. Please visit http://www.cga.ct.gov/2005/vote/h/2005HV-00058-R00HB06012-HV.htm to see how your legislator voted. We have also included a list of State Representatives who voted in favor of HB 6012 (a yes vote was a vote to abolish the death penalty). If your legislator voted in yes to abolish the death penalty, please write to him/her and thank them for their support of abolishing the death penalty. If they voted against abolition, write to them and voice your disappointment and let them know that we still want to talk with them about abolition, since we are not going to stop until total abolition is achieved
